That's probably a Wispa (sp) bar. Back in the 80s, I had a girlfriend from Billingham who told me about them, but I'd never seen them and told her she was making it up. Turns out the North East was the Wispa trial area in '81 and it wasn't launched nationally until '83, at which point I apologised to her. Fascinating stuff...

Equiniti is a legit share registrar. You could google their contact details and give them a ring. It may be From something like an old building society account which got taken over by a bank and account holders were allocated bank shares. My sister just got some from when Abbey National was taken over by Santander ages ago.

He's like 400 yards away so for me that's nearby and I still regard him as a neighbour, though for some that may not qualify. But yeah I could have just said neighbour.

    • Daily Mail?   More atmosphere down the road at Peckham FC aka Menace, Good video, sadly they day the Menace were relegated in the spring (Went to a lot of Dulwich games over the years but now more likely on the South Circular)
    • Some of you may have never been to a post office on a Saturday when one or more people are posting their ebay parcels and you wait yonks.  Just one of those things.  I'm more concerned about the speed of the Royal Mail.  I may start a thread on this!
    • If you're going British, Marks and Sparks do a fantastic Cornish Cruncher Cheddar (get the three year old if it's on offer) and a Stilton/Stichelton which are wrapped in something more like wax paper.  I'm pretty sure they used to do a Stinking Bishop which had minimal plastic wrapping, as well.
    • Thanks to everybody for the responses. Agree that £50-60 is somewhat excessive so supermarket is likely to be the route we take.
