Home exercise sessions - Mind Over Matter Boxing

Hi

My husband and I have started virtual boxing/exercise sessions at home this week with Simone @ Mind Over Matter Boxing as we seem to be visiting the fridge a little too often throughout the day these days :) We have boxing experience so have some of our own kit, but I have also done some really effective 'solo' sessions in my small lounge without any specialist equipment.

She is also hosting classes online a few evenings a week. We are booked in for this Monday evening and are looking forward to engaging online with others in the community and to work out together. Hope you can join us, its really fun, great for mental health and Simone is great!

Just completed an online session with Simone and can't stop smiling. I was wary of signing up as I wasn't sure it would be as good as training in person but it was great! I have my own pads and gloves so asked my husband to hold for me and he had as much fun as I did. I was in a hideous mood before the session. Hubby and I were barely speaking. Now we are smiling and chatting. Full body and mind workout. All classes booked in my diary - Simone's classes are as awesome online as in person!

As usual coach Simone never fails to impress me!!

I have just done a virtual class with her last night and it was really good and so much fun!

Don?t let the corona virus situation beat you! Workout from home with Simone?s guidance for motivation! It can be done 💪🏾.

Hello, as a regular, for over a year with Simone, I was concerned about maintaining fitness of the body & mind during all this but Simone came up trumps! (absolutely no pun intended there 🤦🏼‍♀️) The session was focused, demanding, tight & fun. Obviously, you have to put the effort in but as we know, we never slack when with Simone!! It was a great workout & showed me how to do more at home too. I have posted here before about how amazing Simone is & how much boxing helps me - don't delay, join us!! (need an added incentive? Just from boxing twice a week, I have dropped a bit over a dress size in a year - no dieting involved, am more toned & relaxed-come & join us!!)
As with the face to face sessions I totally recommend these online workouts with Simone, SO worth doing - you don't need much space and don't need a partner to train with for the solo sessions but a good few kids were joining in in the background and having a giggle too!
Three days into lockdown and I can safely say that doing Simone?s virtual boxing class has been a highlight and much needed! Great to link in with Simone and others and do a really decent boxing workout. I managed to do the class with my wife and daughter too - a family affair and everyone is in much better spirits (and fitter) for the class. I?ve been a regular for years and can safely say Simone nailed it tonight even though we were not all physically in the same space it really didn?t matter. Highly recommend this if you fancy punching your frustrations away!

Thank you all for your kind words!! I?m so happy to be able to help you all through these hard times!!

I?ve updated my website with videos of the online classes!! http://www.mindovermatterboxing.co.uk/

I did Simone?s online class tonight for the first time and absolutely loved it! I?ve not done any of Simone?s classes before or trained with her but she put me at ease from the first contact I had with her - sent me sample videos to help me see the combos used in class and was so helpful, friendly and informative. It was a fantastic workout - even using sone tins of beans from the cupboard as I hadn?t got round to getting any dumbbells yet lol. Such a friendly group and I felt incredibly welcome and Simone really clearly explained everything, noting I was a newbie so making sure I wasn?t left behind. I highly recommend! Get involved! :)

Another user of Mind Over Matter boxing!

Simone has got me through a really tough bereavement and break up and honestly could not have done it without her sessions!

Best investment in myself! Love doing them at home and absolutely love the amazing community of people we have!

Looking forward to seeing more people on Zoom!

    • Rant ahead: You're not one of them but unfortunately, there's a substrate of posters here that do very little except moan and come up with weird conspiracy theories. They're immediately highly critical of just about any change, and their initial assumption is that everyone else is a total fucking contemptible idiot. For example: don't you think that the people who run the libraries will have considered the impact of timing of reconstruction on library users? (In fact, we know they have - because they've made arrangements at other libraries to attempt to mitigate the disruption). After all, these are the people that spend their whole working week thinking about libraries and dealing with library users (and the kids especially). You don't go into the library game for the chicks and fame - so it's fair to assume that librarians are committed to public service and public access to libraries, including by kids. Likewise the built environment people (engineers, architects, construction managers, project managers, construction contractors, subcontractors or whoever is on this job) are told to minimise disruption on every job they do. The thing that occurs to us as amateurs within 30 seconds of us seeing something is probably not something a full time professional hasn't thought about! Southwark Council, the NHS, TfL, Dulwich Estate, Thames Water, Openreach - they're not SPECTRE factories filled with malevolent chaosmongers trying to persecute anyone. They're mostly filled with people who understand their job and try to do their best with what they've been given - just like all of us. Nobody is perfect or immune from challenge, and that's fair enough, but why not at least start from the assumption that there's a good reason why things have been done the way they have? Any normal person would be pleased that their busy, pretty, lively local library is getting refurbished, and will have more space and facilities for kids and teens, and will be more efficient to run and warmer in winter. But no, EDT_Forumite_752 had kids who did an exam 20 years ago, and this makes them an expert on library refurbishment who can see it's all just stuff and nonsense for the green agenda and why can't it all be put off... 😡😡😡
    • I completely misread the previous post, sorry. For some reason I thought the mini cooper was also a police vehicle, DUH.
    • This has given me ideas for the ginger wine I love, that no one else likes!
