LittleParry
Having just achieved the two goals I set myself when I started training with AJ in August 2013 I wanted to say a big thanks to her and explain to others just how good she is. I have struggled with a knee injury for 10 years and so was very nervous starting personal training for the first time. AJ has worked with me to understand the issue and correct it, building up my fitness and strength to be able to run 10k inside 3 months. She has also advised me on my diet, pretty much transforming what I eat. She has been very blunt with me about the mistakes I have been making. Her advice has enabled me to lose a stone, to be honest without too much effort or sacrifice, and I now have a very happy balance I can maintain.AJs main strength is she cares about her clients and if you want her full input she will advise, challenge, teach and support you to make whatever change you are targeting. I cannot recommend her enough... Amander
Hi AllI started training with AJ 3 months ago and have really enjoyed the experience. Not only does she patiently manage my huffing and puffing and sometimes colourful language but her enthusiasm and commitment is second to none. She puts the extra mile in everything from dietary advice, tailored exercises out of our session and introduced me to one of her other clients. We now share our hour with AJ and run outside of this time. If you are contemplating a PT, AJ is the best in the area, FACT :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25626-therapeutic-nutrition-coaching-for-weight-loss/page/2/#findComment-697225 Share on other sites

Hobbs76
I have just completed three training sessions with AJ and have had the BEST PT experience with her. This lady really knows her stuff! Luckily for me, I won 3 sessions when I entered a raffle at a charity fund raiser and I have to say this was the best prize I have ever won. I love to exercise and train at the gym 3 or 4 times a week so I was looking to push myself in ways I don't in classes/gym work. AJ took my request on board and worked me HARD and clearly explained how the equipment works and how to use it properly (something I wasn't taught before). She is experienced and I trusted her throughout. Not only that, but she is good fun and made all three sessions varied - challenging, fun and informative. Her advise on nutrition, injuries and how to maintain fitness was brilliant. A real added bonus to the PT experience.I would recommend her to any of my friends - male or female and at any level of fitness (from the really unfit to the die hard gym buddies.AJ - Thank you for my sessions. I LOVED THEM :-)Uns Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25626-therapeutic-nutrition-coaching-for-weight-loss/page/2/#findComment-724307 Share on other sites

cb77
I am heavily overweight and this has varied over the 36 years I have been on this planet but always on the wrong end of the scale. I have been working with AJ for almost 3 months now and I can really feel the difference. My goals are going to be achieved over a 1-2 year period and I feel confident I am working with the best trainer to get me those results. The initial 30 day food plan has revolutionized how I look at food and how great I can feel from making the right choices. Combined with a plan tailored to me, I feel like I am on the path to overcoming a life long hurdle. ps - she's good fun too :-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/25626-therapeutic-nutrition-coaching-for-weight-loss/page/2/#findComment-731063 Share on other sites

Nataliegregory
Just wanted to post a massive thank you to AJ for all her help and patience! My husband and I wanted to get in shape for our wedding last year, and found AJ?s details on the East Dulwich Forum. We wanted to eat healthier, tone up and lose a bit of weight. AJ was incredible every step of the way and we both achieved exactly what we set out to - really couldn't recommend her highly enough. AJ asked us what areas we?d like to focus on toning up, and organised our sessions accordingly so we would have the right equipment for each of our goals. She also gave us practice exercises for us to do at home -- and checked up if we?d done them on email! It was really great to have someone truly focus you and be on board with your goals. It?s safe to say my husband and I are on the lazy side, and we needed that focus and push, and it really paid off. On top of the exercise I wanted help with diet, and AJ was always on hand if I had a query about what to avoid, how to plan my diet over the coming months etc (I was probably quite annoying, sending lots of emails, but she always got back to me w seriously helpful advice). It really was a great experience ? she even got me doing nightly jogs (I have pretty much not run since I was forced to at school, so this was a revelation!) Also really important ? it was never boring. She?d mix things up with boxing, circuits, weights and more. Also flexible with home/park sessions. We both seriously enjoyed it and it?s made us realise what a difference changes to your lifestyle like this can make to everything, not just your weight, but how you feel and energy levels. Also helps that AJ is incredibly fun, sweet, friendly! JMSE15
I?ve never enjoyed exercise, but I looked forward to seeing AJ every week. So much so I?ve even joined her boot camp (which is excellent). I now see AJ twice a week ? and sometimes even cancel (postpone) dinner plans so I can see her. It?s been 3 months and I really feel and see the difference. I still don?t love exercising, but the results have been good. I?m the fittest I?ve ever been and this 100% down to AJ?s support, guidance, motivation and encouragement to do better. I think she?s great. She always explains why you?re doing what you?re doing, what muscles you?re working and why. Her patience is limitless, particularly as I have the coordination of a drowning spider. She never tires of showing me exercises over and over and over again.I?ve signed up for another 3 months?can?t recommend her enough. She knows her stuff and has a really positive way of getting results. Massive thanks. boyarde
I've been training with AJ for over a year and she is fantastic. She is very attentive, and takes into consideration all your needs, what you want to achieve by training her, but she encourages and guides you into making the right life style change to get to your goals, not just relying on training with her but giving you exercises and tailored eating plans to do in the rest of the week. I never get bored training with AJ, and i love how we worked on my assets such as my strength but she also pushed the right amount, to work on my stamina and cardio, as i am asthmatic and i loathe running, but if it was going to be a running session, she would make a plan so that time would fly and i wouldn't realise i had just run 5k which normally i find very daunting. There were times where i was struggling to shift the pounds and AJ didn't just say 'carry on', she asked me to write a food diary via a phone app to try and figure out what was not working, so she could adjust my calories and food intake, which as it happened, needed to go up, not down! And the tape measure, dropping down, is proof in the pudding! Each session is always different and AJ makes you feel at ease and has the perfect balance of encouragement to make sure you make the most out of your session, she wants to see the results as much as you! You can work indoors or outdoors with AJ, although she loves the outdoors, and i find that counting ducks and dogs going by, help distract me as AJ pushes me to work harder, faster and better and before you know it, the session is done, ive succeeded another day and made friends with the squirrels! ;)PS she does a brilliant bootcamp too! rachel1234
I'd also whole heartedly recommend AJ. I trained with her last year in private sessions. This year I have also been attending her boot camp sessions. She is very attentive, very careful about what you do and to make sure you're doing it right, and is always very encouraging. I always feel like i've had a proper work out after the sessions, but the time flies when you're in them because they're really fun and you're always doing different stuff.
