Does anybody know of an old school hardcore gym in south London that is not too pricey while at the same time has a friendly environment? In need of a new gym as the leisure centre is a let down to me.

Forest Hill Pools has just reopened yesterday, which comes with a new gym.

Yeah it would be nice to go to a local gym, there is a serious lack of decent gyms in this area. Heard good things about this place in Hither Green:

Depends where you live?

The new one at F Hill is open, but the interior is terminally dull. It's so sad that all that effort saving the place results in something so bland - so uninspiring

While on this thread.... I am looking for a training partner. I am a 27 year old guy trying to add some size, I can train Mondays Wednesdays Fridays and Sundays...have rugby on other nights.....keen for someone to push me and vice versa.....

There's a new gym opening in Waterloo Road. A bit further away but for ?10.99 a month(special offer)no contract or joining fee I don't mind travelling.

After 6 no congestion charge and you can park aswell.

Also it 24 hour gym too, but only manned 8-8 I think.

?19.99 after the gym opens on 24th sept.

I'm going to have a look inside over the wkend.
