Being a ressie of St Francis Place since moving from the noise pit that is LL, I wondered if any of you guys / gals ever attend the football at Champion Park? Seems that the clubs have some fairly illustrious ex players of one denomination or another. I understand that erstwhile Portsmouth star Peter Crouch once graced the turf there (now playing at some minor North West club I understand).

Anyway, does anyone ever go and what's the footie like?

Dulwich Hamlet hotshot Chris Dickson made a dream debut for Charlton Athletic reserves on Tuesday night with a brace inside the opening 15 minutes in his side's 5-1 win at Fulham. read more

So, does this mean he's still playing for Dulwich Hamlet? Will he be there on Saturday?

Chuffed as I am for Chris, this doesn't bode well for title challenge during the run in. Especially after a couple of well publicised hiccups like letting a 3-0 lead slip away in the last 14 minutes.

I dunno, Dulwich Hamlets were supposed to be my west ham antidote this season :(

Just got a text from my charlton mate, aagh. Had to happen though I guess. We lost Omari Coleman to Watford, but this fee does blow that one out the water.

Every cloud has a silver lining.

ratty, anywhere but the Vale. Actually I tend to go for a mid-game gary lager in the clubhouse.

Well there are some good players out there, Charlton are also looking at a winger from Gillingham... And who could forget the transfer of DJ Campbell to Birmingham :-S

At least it's nice to see Dulwich getting some money for a young player, rather than paying some washed up fat git to turn out for them! In fact, didn't they have a fat former Charlton player a couple of seasons back?

Ha ha, yes. I've actually seen him peruse various football fan forums, so careful with the insults.

He did like his pie though, what was his name again? He did like to put the boot in, but occasional deft touches betrayed his former class despite being at least 6 months pregnant.

    • I didn't say wedge it "slightly" open. I meant to wedge it fully open.
    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
    • @Jenijenjen I assure you we are always polite and friendly too! Which is why the behaviour we have been receiving is so frustrating. The kids always leave her with a “Thank you have a lovely day”  Our concern is leaving the gate slightly wedged doesn’t stop the action of slamming it open and closed…still leading to damage
    • If you're talking about who I think you are, I find them more exuberant than rude and usually smiling and polite. But then, I'm usually smiling and polite to them. Can you not wedge open your gate when you're expecting them?
