I hate this sort of crap, selling magic pills and spells, playing on people?s insecurities that they might not match up to an air brushed plastic dream sold by glossy magazines.

And is it a coincidence that a Nuala is on their web site as a ?level one independent distributor??

And come to that, what is a ?level one independent distributor??

Good grief...

Maybe if you believe in it, then it works for you, maybe.

But in reality weight loss is down to burning more calories than you consume. That simple. Eat less, exercise more.

But the slimming industry is all about making money and that means they need something a little more complicated.

I do think that if you are making money from something, and I assume that?s why you are the sales contact on the product web site, you ought to come clean and not just pretend to be recommending a product out of the goodness of your heart.

I?m off for a bun.

As someone who's worked in the weight loss industry (the traditional healthy eating/exercise side of it) I can't help but be sceptical about using a patch to miraculously lose weight.

I do, however, agree that emotional issues come into play for many people as far as weight is concerned, but fail to see how a patch would help to deal with these? Surely the healthy eating and exercise route is more effective in achieving overall mind and body results?

Nualacoll is a genuine dulite and seems to have heart in the right place, so we'll give the benefit of the doubt. Guano and winged beans doesn't seem any worse than most of the 'health supplements' out there. Claims to miracle weight loss aside.

"The Jen Fe patch is an extraordinary, simple, self-adhesive information program for better looks and a beautiful figure. At the same time, the uptake of the ingredients contained in the patch is insignificant.

The Je Fe patch contains well-known substances from nutritional supplementation that can guide the healthy upkeep of the human body during scientifically recognized administration of the substance so that it is easier to maintain a beautiful figure. The uptake of the substance from the patch, however, is so minute that the benefits for the beautification and maintenance of the body can not be explained according to conventional ways of thinking."

I thought it was clinically proven, nuala?

Interestingly, on the website there is precious little hard info about the product, and loads about how being a distributor is a great business opportunity.

Scam!

As a nutritional therapist, I find this sort of post both disappointing and alarming to come accross.

There are numerous reasons for people's weight problems, including emotional issues, hormonal imbalances, prescribed drugs, and most often, poor diet and lack of exercise! All of these can be dealt with in a number of different ways, but please do not be fooled by ads for quick magic slimming pills/patches/lotions and potions. There are some fantastic natural supplements that can indeed aid weight loss (mostly due to ingredients which reduce appetite or control the way the body absorbs the fats and sugars) but even they will only help when used to complement a healthy diet and exercise program. The old fashioned way of calories in versus calories out is still the only way proven to work.........short of drastic cosmetic surgery of course!?!

Good luck to everyone out there who is struggling to shift a few pounds, but please please PLEASE beware of handing your hard earned cash over to any sheme which promises quick results with no effort. It simply will not work!

Isn't there a saying about 'size doesn't matter, it's what you can do with it' anyway?

It's true.. there is a saying along those lines. It's what girls say to men with small cocks when there's an embarrassing silence.

(So I'm told)

I just had a quick look at the tread and I will have to come back tomorrow, to your comment, I feel that this patch is not a dubious product and I'm going to leave it at that until tomorrow as I had a lovely time responding to a lovley tread.

There are some people who have a 'gland' problem, such as an underactive thyroid. Other people gain weight as a result of taking medication. But the majority of people who are fat are overeaters and undermovers. The bottom line is that very many of us, including the non-tubby, eat too much. And most of us don't take enough exercise. I don't doubt that changing one's eating and drinking and exercise habits is hard, but that is what is needed to lose weight and keep it off. Don't fall for patches and potions! Nero

    • Having had several cats over the past 40 years - mainly rescue, we have a tried and tested routine, Initially confined to one room with litter tray/food/water - we take it in turns to stay for a few minutes several times a day so they become familiar with our scent. They are gradually introduced to the rest of the house. We have a wire cat basket and we place cat in basket and take them outside, over a few days we place basket in different areas of the garden - grass area/gravel area, patio area etc - different flowers/plants. Some of the more nervous cats we walk around the garden on a lead. They get use to the scent of the garden. We have a cat flap in the back door so they have full access - If we need to keep cat in - just block off the cat flap so they cannot escape! We are now down to one elderly cat - who during the summer just laid on the garden chairs and came in for food, but as weather getting colder prefers to sit on a worktop in the kitchen looking out into the garden. So we are back to the cat litter as she is reluctant to go out in the rain/cold.
    • With fibre you are paying for the speed, which is the number, yours is 300 so if you did a lot of gaming, for example, you would want the fastest possible.  If it's just office work or maybe streaming on Netflix you likely won't need as fast, but, if there are a lot of people in your house all doing their own thing on different devices, then faster speeds are better.  I don't rely on my Wi-Fi much other than when I am using my mobile.  I use Ethernet cables to connect up everything, I Have one cable running from my router, along the skirtings and through a hole I drilled in the wall to another room.  I have attached the plusnet speed guide which gives you an idea of how it works.
    • I'd reread what you posted and try to summarise.  It just comes across as a rant.
    • Just shows, to me, once proud to be a citizen of UK.. now.. well if we pay/contribute to services - nhs, police, fire etc and folk who have made this there home - no matter what creed or culture.. for the love c of God, can someone  please explain to me.. how we have working royals who like them or not, have tried and continue to actually support and make a change and then we have Andrew.. who just destroys everything.. not just him, or royalty but his own children..  I had great admiration for The Queen - and respect.. as have a huge number of people.. but.. these old traditions where gosh.. live rent free and can’t get chucked out until I believe 2070? From what I scanned..well he has and continues to have it all.. has to go thru what old rules? Etc.  doubt very much he has even kept the upkeep maintenance up on his abode.. and do the shite keeps on pulling up.. What has Andrew done for UK or for that matter since he was 20?? Do please tell me       Totally off topic, before anyone jumps down my throat.. I just do not get how anyone is proud to be British at this point in time. Whoever is in power, seems to be able to help themselves to the public purse with no redress at all - Covid is a great example of lining of pockets.. Millions  given to Rowanda, so one is led to believe, to help with refugee problem and one can’t get a plane load off!  I simply do not get it at all. Use of food banks in UK growing yearly, homeless as well, nhs, police, fire service etc all on their knees..
