There was a burst main on the South Circular yesterday early afternoon ..... don't know when it started, but the road was flooded for a considerable distance on the side opposite the park. There was one tiny Thames Water van there when I passed .....

I don't think it could have affected Lordship Lane though. Was there a burst main somewhere else as well?

I heard a travel report yesterday morning saying there was a traffic problem with LL, but it didn't mention specifics. The report this morning said there were still ongoing issues on LL and specifically mentioned the mains leak, so I'm assuming they're linked...

Also on the BBC, the Penge Papers and the Gnomes of Dulwich. Only Fools and Horses doesn't count as this was an imaginary Peckham but Desmonds does. On another channel Phil and Kirsty seem to have Forest Hill as their second home.

I saw what OP is referring to.

It showed a few shops along LL.

William Rose, the fishmonger, that cheese shop, and A J Farmer. Maybe another. Shot relatively early in the morning as the streets and roads were quiet, looked like the shops were only just opening.

I was running the blender at the time so I don't know what they said, but it was pretty generic footage that moved on after about 10 seconds, so I don't think it was all that important whatever they said.
