I adore the Phonics and am so tempted! Have seen them 10 times in all and they are brilliant everytime! Missed out on the tour last year though due to having a baby in April, though I did go to see Kellys solo show at Cadogan Hall the day before I was due which was amazing!

So skint at the mo though, I was trying to put this gig out of my mind but you had to shove it in my face gigirl! ;-)

Oooh what to do, what to do?!

I saw them at the Garage when they were starting out back in the 90s where they were completely blown off the stage by the support act, a great little Irish band called The Driven (whatever happened to them?) and thought they were terribly retrogressive to be honest but obviously they've come on a bundle since then doing much the same stuff. Not my cup of tea but each to their own.

    • From tomorrow, 21st May at midday, Lord Biggar CBE, Regius Professor Emeritus of Moral & Pastoral Theology at Oxford University, talks with Chris Haydon and a small invited audience on PECKHAM PODCAST. This is the Professor who set out to draw up a balanced view of Empire and history but walked into a storm. "OMG, this is serious shit", said one Cambridge academic on hearing of Biggar's plan. Meet the man himself, unless of course you think this Regius Professor Emeritus should be cancelled still.

    • all this to say, and staying on topic, that the sunlit uplands are never coming, they never existed and the liars and frauds who pushed this poison on the country are being found out But to watch even tiny slivers of engagement with the  EU result in such weird, intemperate outbursts (have you SEEN the front pages of Mail/Express/Sun etc today?) show just how dysfunctional this country has become
