I love his stuff. He's just got a support slot for Ryley Walker in Bexhill this Saturday. Ryley Walker's album Primrose Green is probably my favourite of the year (very Tim Buckley/John Martyn).

So, the year that keeps on giving....keeps on giving.

Jacco Garnder's new one is superb. Similar vein to the first (pop/folk/psych loads of catchy tunes), which was good enough but this is another notch up.

Also, I never thought i'd hear myself say this but, the Alabama Shakes record is a bit of a revelation.

Kamasi Washington's staggering (STAGGERING) 'The Epic'

3 hour, 3 disc Jazz behemoth. It's taken 3 bus journeys but i'm nearly through it. I will start again as soon as it's finished. Nothing else will get a look in for a while. It's a trad/fusion/space/spiritual jazz monster, with a modern feel. He's a saxophonist/composer and is backed by a 10 piece jazz band, 32 piece orchestra and 20 strong choir.

He's contributed recently to the Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamaar albums but that doesn't do him anything like justice.

I had this on the player as I saw him in the newsagent next to work the other day.. I refrained from stopping him and chatting but this is class stuff for those who like it....

    • Brilliant emergency weekend service from Aria from AFE Plumbing to replace our stopcock valve as it started leaking heavily on Saturday. He explained everything clearly and completed the job efficiently. Kind and well-mannered, would highly recommend!
    • Hello everyone, We have lost our wonderful moggie, Cookie.  She's been missing for over a week now and was lost around the back of our house on rail track land around Croxted Road/Turney Road junction. Please do keep an eye out for her and if you see her please let us know urgently as she isn't familiar with the area at all, we are very worried.  She has a microchip (with my brother's contact details) She's black with ginger/brown markings, very distinctive. If you have had sightings of her or seen her at anytime please let do let me know, Henna 07941 047094 If you could post on your local/street groups too, I'd be very grateful. Thank you!

    • Brother and sister in law live opposite hospital . Visited yesterday and forgot to take the lovely bunch of flowers I'd bought for them . Hoping that by the magic of Christmas someone might be going that way and could drop them off /leave on doorstep .Which is well away from road .
