Contactless payment cards now usable on buses...

Recommended Posts

I do, also paid for my bus this am with my barclays debit card - there were looks of amazement and wonder across the whole lower deck. It was almost as magic as when i got my first oyster card early on and had people stare as I could open barriers on the tube with a mere wave of my hand. Those were the days

You're possibly right. I use mine in Pret and in M&S but I'm the only person I've noticed doing it and the assistants tend to look a tad surprised that someone is using it. I find it quicker and lazier though than putting the card in, waiting to be asked for the PIN, waiting for it to be authorised and putting the card away. Yes, it only saves about 20 seconds... but it feels like more!

    • Ok thanks, I will ask the GP. Sorry, I know I post on here a lot/too much, but I'm not going into my medical issues on here. If I could find the information I need online, I obviously wouldn't need to see a dietician! Thanks for trying to help, though x
    • We had two air con units fitted with the heat pump mounted on the back wall.  one indoor unit in the loft and one in the kitchen/diner.  would not have been able to sleep in this heat in the loft without it - absolutely love it.  We have solar+batteries so with the amount of sun we having then its covering the cost of the aircon.  we used Progas Heating Services Ltd, 176 Sydenham road, London, SE26 5JZ Tel: 020 8 676 0101 [email protected] they were brilliant.  quick and straightforward to deal with.  highly recommend.  cost was ballpark £5k all in.  was quite a bit of chasing pipework into the walls and running pipes from the heat pump to the 2 units.
