In my experience parents from poorer families make sure that their children are clean and well presented

Some families paticularly well off ones prefer to let their children grow wild

I know nits like clean hair bellenden belle (especially long hair)

they dont like being washed in nit repellent shampoo tho

so it's fine for girls to have longer hair but not boys? If nits prefer longer hair shouldn't the advice be for both boys AND girls to have shorter hair? Or do you just have some objection to boys with longer hair? Boys should be boys and girls girls, is that it?

This is easily the biggest piece of bollocks I've ever read on this forum. Whether you are trying to provoke some kind of weird nit-related class debate or not, you have made me laugh. I'm off to decide whether I fit into the clean, well presented children poor family set, or the children running wild, long haired, nit-ridden middle classes...

Oh dear. Would you be happy to post these kinds of statements under your real name? Do you think your anti middle-class (or any sections of the society for that matter) attitude would be acceptable to/ tolerated by the parents, pupils and colleagues at your school? I dare you to share your thoughts with them in person. I really hope you are not a teacher.

Ondine if everybody washed their hands properly after using the toilet the noro virus would be short lived.

Oimissus its upto you how you dress your child, im not suggesting all boys and girls should have crew cuts , but if your child has long hair you need to be extra vigilant for nits.

funny, primary school i went in was full of poor kids with short hair and nits was a common problem. I have no money, am a hybrid of classes and an have a son with wildish longish hair who's never had nits. Can't see what social class has to do with it whatsoever, unless it's a new breed of discerning deli-loving biters.

I comb my Daughter's long hair with a nit comb once a week and use tea tree oil. It has not and will not stop her getting nits - although I might notice them sooner? Not sure if this makes me middle class.

On the same note washing hands after using the toilet will not completly erridicate norovirus as there are many other possible methods of transmission.

    • Those studies are ten years old. I wonder if there is anything more recent. Also, I haven't looked at them, but from what you say,  the studies apparently asked people if THEY thought they were "racially prejudiced". For several  reasons, on the face of it that isn't likely to produce an accurate indication of the level of actual racial prejudice in that sample. Also, how was "racial prejudice" defined? And "racist attitudes"?
    • I'd say hold on to it in case you need it. There may be a time when it helps you get around more easily. You'd know if that's easily done, if you've got somewhere to park it etc
