Ooooh, please say you're not joking PGC, I love a good bake just bought a new scones and muffins book yesterday.

Mind you, given your small rodent incident earlier perhaps we should use my kitchen. ;-)

No co-ordination or sporting ability whatsoever though, so tea is all I could offer.

*Bob* - comparing this effort with your intimate knowledge of the intricacies of a combi boiler, it's clear what your real profession is.

I beg to differ, Blinder.

Writing for cheerleaders with special regards for pom-pom moves is not as easy as you might think.

I shall colour-code the moves for you, so you can get a better idea of how it scans.

Red = arms extended forward, 'punch' move

Blue = Body in star jump position, wrists shaking pom-poms

Yellow = punch motion upwards.. final punch embellished with a shake

Knockin' 'em for um

Six! Six! Six!

You've rumbled me.

I use to have a career. Prospects. Standing in the community. A trade. Now all I can do is count how many minutes of my dismal music they use on ITV each week, multiply by 75 and wait for the paltry royalties to arrive.

I blame it on Labour. Or is it the Tories. One of those two. Pah!

I might be up for a spot of cricket if you need extra players gentlemen. I have my own bat and everything. Although it's normally kept by the side of my bed waiting for intruders. Plus, really, I'm a bowler. Medium pace, bit of swing if there's enough of the green stuff. Nothing too strenuous mind you.

Lol. I do the same thing but have been thinking about changing my choice of weapon as if I actually tried to swing a cricket bat inside my house I will probably only succeed in breaking light fittings and/or picture frames.

Golf clubs are too unbalanced and cumbersome though and a tennis racket doesn?t have the weight. Skateboards make very effective weapons but I don?t have one of those anymore because I am apparently ?grown up?. I am starting to consider a rolling pin.

? and perhaps some curlers.

Interestingly I will be at Lords on 17 May and so will be able to compare and contrast the experiences.

At present the Sunday may be a happier experience than the Saturday.

There is no way you will get me to play, but I will be happy transport the cheese scones, their makers and hangers on.

Shouldnt our Medics bring along their magic sponges and Deep Heat sprays to ease the straining thews of our peak-of-fitness athletes?

Firstly, BUMP THIS THREAD.

And secondly, another team my lot played last year are looking for other teams to play of round about the same standard and us - i.e. crap.

How's about it?

If someone wants to e-mail [email protected] from the Battersea Badgers he'll sort it out.

    • You literally just edited your earlier reply to remove the point you made about it being “politicians”.  Then you call me pathetic.    I’m  not trying to say you approve any of the ugly right wing nonsense.  But I AM Saying your earlier post suggesting  violent rhetoric being “left wing” was one-sided and incorrect
    • I never said that. Saying I don’t like some of the rhetoric coming from the left doesn’t mean I approve of Farage et al saying that Afghans being brought here to protect their lives and thank them for their service means there is an incalculable threat to women.    Anything to score a cheap point. It’s pretty pathetic.
    • To be fair we are as hosed as the majority of other countries post-Covid. The problem is Labour promised way too much and leant in on the we need change and we will deliver it and it was clear to anyone with a modicum of sense that no change was going to happen quickly and actually taking the reigns may have been a massive poison- chalice. As Labour are finding to their cost - there are no easy answers.  A wealth tax seems straightforward but look how Labour have U-turned on elements of non-dom - why? Because the super rich started leaving the country in their droves and whilst we all may want them to pay more tax they already pay a big chunk already and the government saw there was a problem.
    • You don’t think there are right-wing politicians fanning this with rhetoric? Really?
