Chimney Sweeper Recommendation

I would like to make a recommendation for a chimney sweep in case any one is looking for one! I have just had our chimney swept by Alan from 123 Chimney Sweeps and thought he was great. He fitted me in at very short notice, worked quickly and efficiently, left the place looking spotless and was very reasonably priced too!

I'd like to add my recommendation for Alan at 123 Chimney Sweeps.

He really took the time to explain what he was doing, showing the brush sticking out of the top of the chimney, telling me about the different parts etc

I'm getting a new gas fire installed and Alan let me know exactly what I should expect from the fitters plus what questions I should be asking them.

He also provided me with a certificate to show the chimney was in ok condition and had been swept.

I would definitely recommend - 020 8668 9914 or 07956385112

I searched for Chimney Sweep on the forum a few weeks back and came across this thread.

I would highly recommend Alan. He replied promptly to my request, was able to fit me in quickly, came to the appointment on time, explained to me what he would do and did it all very thoroughly and tidy - no mess at all. Also provided a certificate.

I can highly recommend S Pearce. 9 generations of chimney sweeps in the area - so local history as well as prompt, efficient and non messy service. They do a lot of the pubs in Peckham as well and have done for years. Highly recommended and lovely guys.

    • Is there there additional parking restrictions because of the country show? They apply every year: https://southlondon.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/london-borough-of-lambeth-temporary-traffic-and-parking-restrictions-brockwell-park.pdf
    • There was a lot in Camberwell Old Cemetery.
    • True.  And I'll have a look online. Thank you for the explanation. I have just googled, and that is indeed the case with certain weeds. I had no idea that this could happen, so thank you.     The below is apparently all Southwark Council has to say. They don't say why they remove weeds, just that they do, and how. They've got a lot more to say about Japanese Knotweed, which does indeed cause problems, but which they don't remove! However I've never noticed any round here.
    • It's probably less of a priority for them than it appears to be for the OP! Nobody is saying that local businesses are not part of the community. But in the context of this thread, there is a clear distinction between local businesses set up to make a profit for individuals and local non profit organisations set up to help groups and individuals in the community. What has living in social housing got to do with anything? And who is forcing anybody to "accept a secondary definition" or telling anybody to "shut up"?
