KidKruger
Well Greengod liked it enough to post about it and recommend it to everyone, he/she can't be 'wrong' because its down to personal taste. So say what YOU prefer, but don't phrase it like the OP is wrong.I doubt the OP is now thinking "oh yeah, it was actually a rubbish breakfast - those clever EDFers just made me realise...doh !!". maxxi
That's exactly the point KK - they may just feel - "actually, now I come to think about it/look at it again... phew... thanks clever/smug/nitpicky EDFers"Post a photo of your dinner/lunch/breakfast here folks and let us deconstruct it. jimbo1964
It looks a bit uninspiring to me. I don't know if ED needs another cafe. As with every venture I hope it does well.. But I'll stick with Home Made for my 'treat' breakfast. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/29252-duck-egg/#findComment-617678 Share on other sites

RosieH
What's with the random chives? Not as bad as putting pesto on a breakfast tomato, but an oddity nonetheless. Cyclemonkey
I haven't been to the ED branch but had lunch in the Brixton one on Saturday. I thought ?4.50 was a little steep for a chicken and avocado sandwich which turned out to be just cooked chicken breast, slices of rather hard avocado between two slices of processed seeded bread that seemed suspiciously like Saisburys seeded bread that i buy for toast. No salad, no garnsih not nothing. Whilst not a bad sandwich, i would have been happy with it from a trad old style greasy spoon cafe for ?2.50, i expected a lot more for ?4.50 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/29252-duck-egg/#findComment-617712 Share on other sites
Sue
Haven't been in yet but looked at their menu in the window on Saturday and thought the prices were definitely at the top end for an ED breakfast. The picture posted above hasn't encouraged me to venture in, I must say. Greengod, when you say your brunch was "cooked just as I asked", what did you ask for?
