falcao
Probably under the ground. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2952-thames-water-ring-main-southern-extension/#findComment-91127 Share on other sites
SteveT
They have issued a map but I think it carries on to terminate at greenwich. I would think a phone call to thames water would secure a copy. zephyr
That be the work they are doing at the reservoir near the Colyton/Homestall road junction which is the entrance to the tunnel.Thames Water Ring Main Extensions talks about it and has a vague map. I would have thought it would be very very deep under the Plough area (if it was taking that route).Wasn't there work at goose green that was part of the new ring main a couple of years ago? zephyr
That it still about 100ft - that is very deep to me. Surely it will not be 35 metres under the plough area considering how much higher it looks like it is above the reservoir. The map says the main is 40 metres down Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2952-thames-water-ring-main-southern-extension/#findComment-91484 Share on other sites
d803cn
The tunnel will follow the roads, otherwise Thames water will need to seek the permission of each landowner under which the tunnel is excavated. Indiana
I don't think that's true as we have received a letter informing us of the plans and also saying that those homeowners where the pipe will go directly under their property will be informed separately.I certainly remember our neighbour mentioning that they are going under his garden! They probably don't need permission due to the deep levels (i.e you probably don't own the bedrock!)
