I think we should lend our support to this one, apparently there are plans to open a house of ill repute at the top end of Lordship Lane(near the library) directly facing the womens institute(at least they have a sense of humour) and of course the old biddys have got all up in arms about it. How dare they stop our fun! They've got knitting and incontinence and we've got guilt free sex as a sales transaction to keep our dander up. The things people complain about....

There is a BOGOF offer for the first month for registered Forumites and they are going to become a corporate sponsor.

I had heard that they were taking over the Police Station - hence the proximity to the WI. They apparently have asked for much of the Police equipment to be left in-situ For some reason.

I wonder if they would host a Forum drinks?

I live just around the corner & walk past every day, & I'm still not entirely sure what it's meant to be. For that reason, I'm not surprised if it often gets overlooked by passersby. Prior to all of this, it was Oriental Star - a wonderful Chinese takeout run by lovely people, & we were genuinely sad to see it go. It took a long time to find anything in this area that came close, & honestly, I still don't think we quite have.
