EDmummy
Sad to see Rumcent move but perhaps inevitable. Will this new building work with the existing properties? I'm a real fan of modern architecture but was just wondering his this wi set next to the Victorian school next door. Worker
On the theme of interesting applications, there's one pending for Crawthew Grove - on the north corner between 68 and 70. It's got a basement with a cinema room and pool - very Chelsea. Looks cool.http://planningonline.southwarksites.com/planningonline2/AcolNetCGI.exe?ACTION=UNWRAP&RIPNAME=Root.PgeResultDetail&TheSystemkey=9548408 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/30017-runcent-joinery-nth-x-rd-to-become-a-3-bed-house/#findComment-624330 Share on other sites
Rianoo
Bottom of the hill as well - I saw them surveying this morning. I hope that the piles and tanking are up to scratch or it will be a pool. Logistical nightmare and mega expensive. Most houses around here have tiny foundations - good luck to them. i*Rate
The Modern House design on North Cross Road looks good and it seems like it will have the obligatory timber (garden shed) panelling that is essential on modern buildings today. Shame about the local works going, they made some excellent replacement sash windows for me. Susanna Omynona
The plans of the location / neighbouring buildings are about 20 years out of date, as they still show the residential flats in St Clement's Yard as a school and it has not been a school since about 1993!!! They also show outbuildings which were part of the school and these were demolished in 1994.The new building would overlook residential properties and their gardens, not a school. James Barber
I wonder whether shop with flat above wouldnt be more suitable for this location. Calsug
Judging by a few empty shop fronts on LL I doubt it...More residential space the better = increased footfall for existing local shops.
