just had a warning from my school which read

A local school reports the attemped abduction of a child by a man in a blue van.

thats all the report says but its local and we ve been advised to pick up all children who normally go home alone

This is the 3rd school alert of a local attempted child abduction since June 2012, the last two involving a man in a blue van. Can they not find this person? I hope a better description of the van and the man is circulated -- as it is I'm now staring down the driver of every blue van I see.

As a Sydenham resident with kids, I shall continue to be on the look out.

I do take some solace in the fact he's obviously pretty shit at abducting children. Hopefully he'll be caught very soon!
