Surely it?s cheaper to just pay up. They?d have to be exceptional to make a case for speeding twice past a fixed camera where the whole borough is a 20mph zone.

Maybe a time management coach would help you manage your time so you did not need to speed. Cameras or not too fast is too fast.

Depends on how fast. 30-39 it's likely to be a fine straight off and 3-5 points; over 40 3-month ban as it's double the limit

What?s soooo complex about driving at 20mph max in Southwark ?

Apart from speed cameras, there?s virtually no enforcement.

Our streets could be much safer if people just honoured the limit.

You would think thle best place to put a 20mph speed camera is on Barry Road in this area. They have just put speed bumps in to Landels, not sure of the point exactly though as very hard to do 20+ down it before anyway!

There's a clear speed limit. And clear penalties for speeding. And an obvious camera at that spot. Which is near a school, if memory serves.

Unlucky to be caught maybe, but twice?

The point of putting the speed camera outside the school is that it's where lots of kids will be crowding twice a day.

I'm pretty sure the cameras were placed there after a school girl was killed by a motorcycle in the late 90s. Speed kills, slow down.
