Dear Ms Shambles,

James and I have been rolling about laughing at this! We even danced to it in the end. We have made a pact to buy this recording, and play it at the Max and Freya's weddings, so that we can dance in the manner of this man 'Matt' in order to appropriately embarass the children. It is a key part of growing older - to have parents who dance badly at events of significance - don't you agree?

Thank you so much for this clip - it has made our evening.

Shambles, had a listen and they're alright as it goes.

Play locally do they, or is he a northern gooner type too? ;)

My music link of today is stark, icy norse mood music.

Sadly they don't have the simply stunning "den her sang hander om at fa det bedste ud af det" available, but if you're a fan of sigur ros et al, you'll like this.

And just to cheer you up after that you absolutely MUST watch this video that proves once and for all that not all swedes are beautiful, but that they do all make fantastic pop music

where on earth did you find that piers!!! reminds me of what an EDF choir might look like!! great lyrics too :-)

my little bro has played in London at the half moon amongst other venues - thinks he's Jeff Buckley (but he's not..sshh!)

DM - glad you enjoyed the dancing - i quite agree with you about how embarrassing your kids is every parents god given right! i don't need to try too hard!!

Dear Ms Shambles,

My word we are just exhausted. James and I have been dancing with the children to that youtube clip you put on last night. What a laugh we have had! And to think I was going to a parenting course to take the arguements out of bed time...

Thanks for making our evenings fun.

Top stuff Shambles!

Well, if it's classics we're doing, then here's two national treasures rolled into one.

George Formby meets Half Man Half Biscuit

My god there are some weird things on youtube.

Here's Eraserhead meets, you guessed it HMHB

Here's a happy little ditty by the Little Ones. slightly odd video, I like to think it's EDFers emerging in to the quiet room, but always got time for a rubik's cube.

They were so easy to do once you cracked the whole they're swappable stickers thing.

Hope you enjoy

    • Thanks for the response and to some who PM’d me. I’m now included on the Patient Participation Group (meeting next in Dec) so I’m going to feed back the comments here, good and bad. Update today to PPG members is that, as some of you have said, there is a new contact in place with GP practices with effect from 1 Oct. That appears to be the driver for some of the changes we’ve seen at The Gardens. From the responses here, though, patients might be getting an inconsistent message from the Surgery; I was definitely told that appointments must be made through the app, and only the app. It was only when I expressed concern that a strictly online service would not be suitable for all, that I was told by the receptionist that she could complete the request for me (or others if needed). Even then, then patients would need to await a text from the Practice. Perhaps we are just teething problems with the new provision…Happy to bring any and all comments to the PPG meeting (although I’m aware that the most digitally-excluded people probably aren’t on EDF!) Thanks folks.
    • Hi everyone! For the past 12 years, we’ve been turning 27 Oglander Road into a spooky Halloween stop for all the trick-or-treaters — and this year it’s going to be our biggest and scariest one yet👻🎃 Expect creepy decorations, surprises, and even a few hide-and-seek prizes for the brave ones who dare to look 👀 We’ll be set up from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Thursday 31st October, so come by if you fancy a fright and some Halloween fun! 🕸️ Everyone’s welcome — kids, grown-ups, and ghouls alike!
    • Went to a fireworks display maybe 20 years ago at the Crystal Palace, it wasn't bonfire night, can't remember why it was being held, Capital Radio were there. There were people hanging from a crane, classical music, and quiet fireworks,  It was lovely, still dramatic with the colours but no loud bangs. Not sure why this hasn't become the norm.
