is it just me or is anyone else sick to death of hearing about the so called credit crunch. it just seems you cant turn on the tv or radio or open a paper without hearing about it and the impending doom it will bring. i personally feel the constant bombardment on the media is actually acting as a trigger to create more doom and gloom. give it a rest.

I * know* about this sadly and even tho I am a glass half empty fellow, I have no doubts whatsoever that society as we know will survive. and prosper.

cheap, lazy, parasitc. scaremongering , selfish, inward lookinbg, smug journalism, often by writers who may be able to string a sentence together ( unlike me ) but have on the economists guide to economics and the internet to use as reference points

this was always going to be a problem, as many of the products traded are impossible to value or attcch any meaningful risk value to them - this isnt exactly new and has been an issue for a deacde or more in my field - I am surprised that so many top tier financials got involved in such waste products

    • I took it to mean that he was going to present all sides of the argument (for want of a better term) rather than just giving his own opinion. I didn't take it to mean that he was calling "his own views" balanced.
    • I just did this survey. There are a number of problems with it. For example, in at least two questions you have an option "other, please specify" but there is no way to specify what the "other" is. Also, you have several questions where if you have nothing appropriate to answer, you get a statement "this is a required question", or words to that effect, so you have to put in something like "nothing" in order to move on. Can I suggest that this is likely to confuse people so they just give up half way through? Maybe you should test it out on a few people before going "live" with it?
    • I went to Brockwell Lido on a hot day last summer to do some lengths. It was busy.  I kept getting other people's hair, which was floating around the pool, tangled in my hands. It was gross. I'm not sure if that was unusual, or if it's always like that on a hot day.
    • Didn't engage him in conversation but I think he was just 'collecting' for a 'charity' - without ID or anything else. Something to do with rehabilitation. They don't seem to bother with dusters. Which is probably a blessing.
