Yeah so do I which just goes to show what a load of bollcoks it all is.

Although I only qualify by job title. Technically as I am not a member of the ol? chartered institute I don?t think I really qualify. Or at least I don?t think I should.

The more I think about this the more depressed it's making me.

I know, I know, it's all just a bit of fun and I shouldn't take myself to seriously, but it does make me feel a little, well, undervalued.

Yeah. They probably have the most rigid qualification process and are the most regulated of any professionals.

Maybe whoever put the list together just thought that doctors are busy enough already without having people bugging them to countersign their bureaucratic documents.

I do like the way they differentiate between 'Christian Science practitioner' and 'minister of a recognised religion'.

that isn't really an official list of 'professionals' is it?

it's a list of acceptable countersignatories for a passport application, it doesn't even say professional on it does it?

for those upset by their absence from the list - a 'person of similar standing in the community' is allowed to sign too so i am sure that you'll find a way to sneak yourselves in
