You just beat me to it - I would rather have a kind and practical partner than one who was in quantum physics but was in a world of their own (as long as they could actually read.........)

Tonight I'm all alone and broken hearted

A love we knew I never shall forget

And tell myself that lonely night we parted

I got a lifetime to regret.

They tell me you are happy with another

And I wonder if my memory lingers yet

The things I said the night we said goodbye, dear

Oh, I got a lifetime to regret.

If we could just erase the mistakes we made, dear

I'm sure we could find happy moments yet

But we can't change the past and I'm afraid, dear

That I got a lifetime to regret.

I know down in my heart that I'm forgivin'

'Cause I'm just like the fish caught in a net

I know true love is what made my life worth livin'

I got a lifetime to regret...

I don?t know so much. If it is raining, common sense says that I should go inside. But sitting inside is boring unless I have something to think about. Like, where the rain comes from perhaps or what is rain or if there is water in the air all the time anyway is it really raining or is that just my opinion of our current position on the sliding scale of the air?s wetness.

If this world was all about common sense we wouldn?t have anything interesting to talk about.

Anyway back to regrets, Well I've had a few

But then again

To few to mention

(Apologies if that has already bee done a gazillion times but I?m not reading back over this whole thread to check)

Like many others here, I have few regrets in life - I've made millions of mistakes, and will doubtless make a million more, but ultimately I have learnt to be kind to myself and that includes forgiving myself when I f**k up.But since you ask...

I regret using my sharp tongue at times, particularly towards my ex, particularly when it was a result of frustration at myself rather than any misdoing on his part.

I regret leaving theatre publishing quite so dramatically (but darlings it was theatre what else could one do?) and feel blessed that despite my sniping, my boss remains a close friend to this day.

I regret not persevering with learning to play the piano.

Gosh what's that? Three Hail Marys and an Our Father? Sure thing Father Ill throw in a rosary too if you like... never regretted leaving Catholicism behind...

Okies I guess I should put mine in...

1. Regret not taking things into my own hands and smacked the biatch rather than doing things the proper way with "procedures" and all that... darn took 2 yrs of stress and anger to sort it out but still had to do all the hard work to win.

2. Like many others on here, I regret wasting time in not telling that special someone how I felt when the time was right to present itself...

3. erm... not taking up the violin... I wouldve been damn good if all my other talents r to go by ;-)

OMG! I think I'm in love! Hey Lush, are you the guy with the lovely bushy beard in the photos of the EDF drinks night? Is there a Mrs Lush? hehe ;-)

Oh my God, what have I started. Dear LizzygotDizzy. No. I'm the devil with the tinted glasses and the silly grin. And there is no Mrs Lush. I wouldn't say I'm up for grabs but I'm open to offers. Canada? Never been there and I must say I'm tempted but regretfully I don't think I'll be able to get the time off. Time off for good behaviour that is.

    • Lost morning of 5th November between Archdale Road  and Denmark Hill station via Lordship Lane.
    • Was planning to come on here to ask if anyone might know which celeb/royal came through Lordship Lane yesterday - was on my way up to Spurs, on bus at the roundabout by the EDT when some whistling police cyclists pulled the traffic to the side of the road to allow a biggish range rover to shoot past, on the way up towards Dog Kennel Hill. Could only make out two, maybe middle-aged, men in the front before it passed. Mildly hysterical lady on pavement was laughing/screeching with her friend that they were desperately trying to find out who it was. Had more reason to post after this lunchtime's experience. Had just got to bus stop opposite the M&S by the station when some mini cooper thing bombed through the traffic, swerving across to cut up another car to get up the hill, before two or three police cars followed about 20 seconds behind. Said mini cooper thing then reappeared coming the other way, beeping its horn to get other cars out the way before it bombed up what I think was Elsie Road, with police cars now on both sides of the road by Maxin trying to stop traffic getting in the way/half the speeding car. Bit more than I had bargained for when I set out/want in local area! Stay careful out there folks, this place is getting scarier...
    • The stop outside the chippy was still closed earlier today, although the barriers I saw yesterday have been removed, so no need for the closure.  The stop outside the church across the road is now uncovered and open
    • You all have different and conflicting interests though. It isn't necessarily appropriate for him to communicate with all of you at the same time about the same issues.    You're giving more away with each post as to how these difficulties probably arose.
