Help! Dead fox in my garden!

Recommended Posts

There was one in our neighbours garden recently while they were on holiday - I rang the council on Saturday evening and was told they would come on Monday and it would cost (as on private property). They turned up on Sunday morning and didn't charge :)

Of course the other option is to move it out to the street, and it will be picked up by the council.

Burying it ASAP would be the best option environmentally. Burial pit needs to be at least 4ft deep. The fox's body, although disgusting on the surface, will provide food for many invertebrates and these in turn add to healthy topsoil.

Removal of dead animals from private property

If you need to have a dead animal removed from exterior private trade premises, and your own private garden, we can arrange this. Please note there is a charge of ?47.00 (inc VAT) for this service. Please have the fee ready to give to our staff when they collect the dead animal from your property. Payment can be made by cash or by cheque made payable to London Borough of Southwark. A receipt will be issued to you as soon as payment is made.
