celtspur222
I managed to drop my motorbike keys down a drain outside my house. It's a big iron job and I cant shift it. Any ideas who I contact to get the drain open? Cheers. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/34145-dropped-keys-down-drain-help/ Share on other sites
mynamehere
Isn't the classic action: Long pole with something very sticky on the end Gum? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/34145-dropped-keys-down-drain-help/#findComment-660860 Share on other sites
emilylise
You could try attaching a magnet to a long stick? X Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/34145-dropped-keys-down-drain-help/#findComment-660865 Share on other sites

Tamineh
Or to a piece of string? You could also to and ask a friendly refuge worker with a cart to borrow his grabber.Good luck. Jacqui5254
A twisted wire coat hanger once worked for me. That, and a crowd of nosey neighbours giving their opinion.Good luck! Jeremy
You can get telescopic metal sticks (kind of like radio aerials) with magnets on the end from DIY shops. buggie
Might be worth contacting the council, I did is once in East London & the council sent someone out to fish them out of the drain the next day - expect to be charged, but would be much cheaper than changing licks/getting replacement keys!! lousmith
I'm sure you managed by now. A plastic sieve on a pole will squash flat to fit through the bars and will probably deliver a whole range of delights along with your keys. Good luck. I've been there. Keys are attracted to such fates. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/34145-dropped-keys-down-drain-help/#findComment-666704 Share on other sites
