Maybe they'll just have a setup with two coffee bars, one pointing in to the ticketed area and one pointing to the outside world, creating the required physical separation. Seems like an odd arrangement though, and a huge space to be filled by just a coffee shop. The queues weren't short at the old place during rush hour, but I can't imagine there'd be enough trade to support a coffee shop the whole size of the old ticket hall!

Have just thought of an example - a few years ago when I commuted there, there was an AMT at Hammersmith (the H&C line station) which had hatches/servers for both sides of the barrier. So this could work.

The real problem would be that Southeastern would no doubt lease to the highest bidder - so that rather than anything independent and interesting, we'd probably get a Costa.

Waterford airport used to have that arrangement ianjm.

Very useful for the whole liquids nonsense at airport security.

You simply handed your half finished coffee to the staff in the airport foyer side and they gave it back to you in the departure lounge.

In fact thinking about it old Southend airport used to do it too (if you asked very very nicely).

    • That's not a bad idea, though I also want to keep the site as simple and user friendly as possibly. It's ultimately about getting a balance between being informative and being a good read. Stars are useful but I'd like people to read the reviews too.
    • Standard places haven’t got any? Anyone seen any on sale this week? thanks
    • Sue. You really don’t have to keep saying about the electoral system    a) we all know about it b) it doesn’t matter    FPTP is the system we have always had and hopefully we will get rid of it someday but it is what it is    when anyone suggests changing the system Corbyn is right there at the front of the queue to prevent it   so its pointless him or any of supporters complaining about it    the evidence you want is the result of the elections. You can’t have clearer evidence.
    • Has anyone from the school commented? Have they said why? Is it a fresh start? Is it that Grove in the name may have connotations of wealth and they want to attract more applicants from a wider area? Is that it currently is linked to the DKH Estate?
