...Big Brother AT ALL, Mockers.

Whenever I have watched an episode it was just mind-numbingly dull 'discussions' involving people not listening to each other. The only interesting stuff comes from the conflict, and then you get the uncomfortable feeling of colluding in the psychological manipulation of clearly unstable fame nuts. Bleugh.

I don't get what it is about hot weather that makes office workers entirely abandon any sense of how to dress.

Men - ignore the change in temperature and remain in winter suits, double-cuffed shirts, etc. Result = sweaty and red-faced.

Women - dive into spaghetti-strap tops and cotton skirts. Er - you're not actually on holiday, which presumably is why you haven't had time to prep your legs for the exposure they're currently undergoing...

You wouldn't see this in Italy or Australia, where they understand the concept of wearing clothes appropriate to hot weather that don't reveal bits of skin that really should be kept for the beach. Tch.

Couldn't agree more with BB, but I love The Apprentice. I know I know, it's just x-factor / fame academy / jungle thing with a business twist, but I think it's just so funny, whereas none of the others are!

X-Factor makes people laugh because they laugh at poor disillusioned people who have been told by cruel friends that they have musical talent. I think that's just mean.

Apprentice is full of people that will tell you again and again how good they are, and it is great fun watching them fail!!!

That said, I did say to Mrs Mockney last year that I could see her ripping through the opposition and winning it! >:D<

I suggest you both make a start by not calling her that - last time I did that I barely survived...

Quite right too.

It's outrageously insulting to call her Mrs Mockney.

She should, of course, be referred to as either The Future Mrs Mockney Piers or Mr Mockney Pier's intended, betrothed or fiancee.

Mrs Bignumber5 ;-)

    • I'm trying to be civil, see things from different perspectives and avoid arguments. The grey economy is cash in hand, so no tax to be paid, Chancellor loses out, we all win. Zero hrs contracts must be tough not knowing where or when the next work is coming from.  My position might not be great, but with a bit of sensible weekly shopping, stocking up on best buys etc. one survives and life ain't that bad.
    • I'm trying to find a venue for my daughter's 18th but it's really difficult. Most venues don't want 18th birthday parties. We were looking at Brockwell Hall (The newly refurbed big ol' house in the park) but they want 4.5k for a night which has to finish at 11pm. My daughter tells me her friends don't go out till 11 which I think may be an exageration but I get her point. I'm looking for a bar/club type venue where I can have a DJ till 1/2am and that's about it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    • “Fair points, not arguing with you on them” This outbreak of civility between us is beginning to worry me ! im approaching pension age soon enough myself and im sorry to hear your position isn’t great.  But current pensions are not the result of  any 1 year government (they literally couldn’t be) but decades of priorities across multiple govts and voter priorities  21k won’t get your fat these days as a worker. Transport and other costs before they even get to accommodation. And they will work hard for that then you have the grey economy and zero hour contracts where people earn far less than that  again - your position doesn’t sound great but that’s no reason to deny a new generation  Me and jazzer at next forum drinks  https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2025/mar/28/dining-across-the-divide-i-see-the-welfare-state-as-bloated-corrupt
