HonaloochieB
If you haven't read them A Confederacy of Dunces - John Kennedy Toole, a book I like to thrust into people's hands and Diary of a Nobody - George & Weedon Grossmith again another must read, and which on Kindle won't cost you a sov, guv. srisky
Day of the Jackal& Godfather for unputdownable reads (provided you haven't seen the films, of course) that do not require too much holiday brain power. El Pibe
Thoroughly enjoying Neal Stephensons latest 'Reamde'. at 1000 pages it should absorb the flight nicely, but it fairly romps along. Otta
Robert Goddard's books are a good read with good stories and plenty of twists.Linwood Barclay, who I think is Canadian rather than American) has written some good page turners in recent years. tomskip
You posted yesterday so its possibly too late, but the book I have most enjoyed in the past couple of years is the Keith Richards autobiography, Life. You didn't express a preference for fiction or non-fiction. I highly recommend, a rollicking good read.
