Hi there,

My girlfriend and I are to be married in August next year.

With all of our plans going ' full-steam ahead', we're looking to find a great DJ (preferably local) to play at our wedding reception.

We want it to be someone who regularly plays old / new Indie, mod, soul, ska and 2-tone kind of stuff.

Does anyone know of anyone who fits the bill?

Cheers,

Mott The Hoople and Clash producer Guy Stevens would've been utterly spot on for the middle three.

But sadly he's no longer with us.

Health, happiness and may you love each other all down the days to you and your intended ICS and I hope someone else is more helpful disco-wise than I've been.

Do you and she have a 'song', by the way?

I hope so.

Aaah, thanks for that anyway.

Funnily enough, we're trying to think of our 'first-dance song' which is special for us, and probably will opt for 'My Sharona' by the Knack.

Not really a soft and tender / lovey one, but hey, it's a whole lot of fun.

Cheers

    • In deed.   An hour is optimistic. I'd always use the train/tube, so many options from the slowish Picadilly, quick Heathrow Express and Lizzy line in the middle. In the old days I'd go out to Feltham via Clapham Junction and either get a cab from there or the bus to avoid central London Alternatively 3 hours by bus only Or a couple of hours by bike, I have cycled there a few times including illegally going through the tunnel as it is so bike unfriendly.
