lcs1981
Hi there,My girlfriend and I are to be married in August next year. With all of our plans going ' full-steam ahead', we're looking to find a great DJ (preferably local) to play at our wedding reception. We want it to be someone who regularly plays old / new Indie, mod, soul, ska and 2-tone kind of stuff. Does anyone know of anyone who fits the bill?Cheers, Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35701-does-anyone-know-of-a-good-indie-dj-for-a-wedding/ Share on other sites
HonaloochieB
Mott The Hoople and Clash producer Guy Stevens would've been utterly spot on for the middle three. But sadly he's no longer with us.Health, happiness and may you love each other all down the days to you and your intended ICS and I hope someone else is more helpful disco-wise than I've been.Do you and she have a 'song', by the way?I hope so. lcs1981
Aaah, thanks for that anyway.Funnily enough, we're trying to think of our 'first-dance song' which is special for us, and probably will opt for 'My Sharona' by the Knack. Not really a soft and tender / lovey one, but hey, it's a whole lot of fun.Cheers Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35701-does-anyone-know-of-a-good-indie-dj-for-a-wedding/#findComment-673529 Share on other sites

Jeremy
You could always hire the gear, and get some of your friends to take turns manning the CD players (with an iPod playlist as backup). Or hire a DJ and give him a playlist. Or as others have said, see if Jah Lush is up for it! Dopamine1979
What Jeremy said. It worked surprisingly well at a wedding I went to recently. By the end of the evening.....http://www.thecoli.com/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/dj2.gif Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35701-does-anyone-know-of-a-good-indie-dj-for-a-wedding/#findComment-673656 Share on other sites
