Mrs Y
Hi,You could also take the 63 bus to E & C which takes about 25-30 mins. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3622-no-12-to-elephant/#findComment-112982 Share on other sites
ojm
I do this quite regularly... Tend to leave Barry Rd about 06:25 and get to Elephant no later than 7. Allow 45 mins to be safe, but shouldn't take that long. jollybaby
If you're leaving before 8 it shouldn't take too long - about 30 mins - anytime after that can be a nightmare through camberwell. Anon
Or train from ED or Peck Rye to London Bridge (10mins) then Jubilee line up and across to Bakerloo. Just an idea. ClareC
Fatest way to Paddington is to catch the 7.15 train to London Bridge from East Dulwich, then get the Jubilee line to Baker street and then the Bakerloo to Paddington. I usually get to Paddington about 7.50 on that route. The tube change is easy its just over the platform. JohnL
Yep - thats how I go now.Caught the 436 straight there from Peckham once or twice to save on zone 1 ticket - but still took an hour. The train ticket to London Bridge included the cost of the tube to paddington I think.ClareC Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Fatest way to Paddington is to catch the 7.15> train to London Bridge from East Dulwich, then get> the Jubilee line to Baker street and then the> Bakerloo to Paddington. bignumber5
I think we debated this one before.I'm a fan of no.12 to Lambeth North (less of an underground maze with overground rush hour than l'elephant) then bakerloo to Paddington. Not necessarily the fastest but the best balance between fast and low number of changes - particularly with luggage, as gets you on both bus and tube early enough in their journey to get seated and entrenched with your bags.PS: just seen why timtim started this thread - may be a bit late, sorry!
