Happy new year to all. I'm Hollie, a local mum and Hypnobirthing teacher and have been running classes in SE22 for the last couple of years. Hypnobirthing teaches you and your birth companion the tools for a calm and comfortable birth, and my classes, running over 4 weekly 2.5hr sessions, are relaxed and friendly.

I have ONE space left on my Saturday course (starting this Saturday, 4th - 10.15-12.45pm) and ONE on my Wednesday course (starting 8th, 8.00-10.15pm). As the start date for these is imminent I am offering the place for ?175 (instead of ?285). The place will go on a strictly first come basis, so please PM me ASAP if you would like it, or email me at [email protected]

Wishing you all the best for a wonderful birth x

Hello Second time Mums & Dads, apologies for gatecrashing over here, but I hope you'l forgive me. I'm just popping in to let you know that ED's newly formed 'Positive Birth Group' is meeting this Thursday evening, Jan 9th, 7-9pm. Tea, biscuits and conversation provided.

If you are interested in an antidote to the media presentations of birth, want to think about how this time could be different to last time or just want to chat about what you've heard/seen/know please feel free to come along. Everyone welcome. We will be holding our discussion groups on the first Thursday of eat month and aim to alternate between moorings 10am-12pm (for those with baby/toddler commitments - they can come too), and evenings 7-9pm to try and make the group available to those who are working in the day.

We are a new group and so are open to idea's, suggestions and comments as to what would make it appealing to you.

Please PM me for venue details.

Thankyou,

SW x

P.S. For clarification: 'Positive' is to do with an approach, not to do with 'natural'. It could mean a positive elective caesarean or highly medicalised birth, just as much a whale music/water birth. :D

Hi,

So sorry, I posted on this before fully intending it to make it to a meet up and then became caught up in life. Are there any more pub quizzes/meet ups planned? I'd love to meet up with other mums, especially as my maternity leave is hopefully going to start in 5 weeks or so, and my son will still be in part or full time nursery.

Thanks and take care,

Kate

Hello,

I have a 2yr 8 month old son and am expecting our second baby next week (!).

I have only just found this thread but am very keen to meet up with others in a similar position, so please let me know if any of you are meeting up soon!

Hello There,

So, I have lots of baby items, mainly clothes 0-3, 3-6 and 6-9 months and mainly for baby girls... Many items have never been worn or worn once or twice, Jojo's, John Rocha, lots of NEXT, Jasper Conran, M & S and such like. Perfect if you or someone you know has a bubba or is expecting one soon!

I dont have the energy to list all items on Ebay so Im having an open house this Friday 1-4 pm if there's enough interest- so come and grab yourself a bargain! Ive labelled all items in size order and will have them displayed on clothing rails etc for easy viewing. Prices from 50p

Please drop me a line and/or text me if you would like to attend so I have an idea of numbers and I will text on Friday morning to confirm my address.

Any questions feel free to ask

Hope to see you there!

Hi

I am coming to this pretty late, but am expecting our second in about 3 weeks and on maternity leave from around the middle of next week. We have a soon to be 2 year old girl already. I'd love to meet up with you the next time something is planned and/or hear from anyone living near to me who fancies coffee/meeting up anyway. We are on one of the roads off Lyndhurst Grove, nr(ish) Bellenden.

Hope to see some of you soon!

Lucie

    • Miss Robson is the last of the old school independent vets. All the chains are have seriously hiked their prices over the last few years which now makes pet ownership only possible for the wealthy few. Even with pet insurance -( which often excludes items or has ‘deductibles’ ) it is just so much money. A visit with some medication is often £150 - £200. The vets themselves are excellent.
    • Awful. A Google search came up with this, but will he check his office email over Christmas? Maybe worth also contacting local councillor? 'To contact Southern Housing's CEO, Paul Hackett, you can try his direct email, [email protected], or use the general contact email [email protected], as well as calling their main number, 0300 303 1066, for general inquiries or to be directed to the executive level.' Also, from the website: https://www.southernhousing.org.uk/latest-news/2025/contacting-us-over-the-festive-period   'Contacting us about an emergency? If you have an emergency outside of the above times over the festive period, such as severe flooding, an uncontainable leak, gas leak, complete electrical failure or lift breakdown, please call us on 0300 303 1066' I hope it is sorted out soon.
    • Dawson Heights again  2 lifts out of order at ladlands block Christmas Eve so of course the 🛗 will not be repaired tomorrow Christmas Day or Boxing Day or when how do elderly or mothers with children and prams and food and presents get to the floors and with the 10 minutes you get to drop off  to park and not get a Pcn fine and delivery food to relatives who can’t leave their house unbelievable Southern housing does any know email address of Coe of southern housing
    • Sorry but I think it's best if people just check things for themselves when they buy things. In three shops/restaurants (from some years back) I just avoid the places concerned, as in all three  cases I was pretty sure it wasn't a genuine mistake, and in one place  it happened more than once and usually late at night.
