I just bought some corned beef from Iceland. Corned beef hash, making a comeback. Retro, innit.

ETA: That's weird. As I posted this, the subject box is saying Re: F***s sake instead of the $(*&%&?y# stuff. How did that happen? Numbers, what did you originally type?

YES! I did. White sugar on white buttered bread.

My mum was not the greatest cook. And didn't have much idea of nutrition either.

But hey, stuffed lamb hearts. Anyone else get them? Faggots? This was in Streatham btw, :)), not oop North.

Bird's Eye mousse? Lemon or strawberry?

    • I had lots of books to donate to the HH Oxfam bookshop a few months ago.                I phoned them, and they told me I could drive to the rear of the shop, where parking is easy.  They gave me directions, and came out to meet me when I arrived.  They were very helpful, and grateful for the donation. So it's definitely worth ringing them!
    • Called Tessa Jowell GP Surgery today after failing to get two repeat prescriptions from the pharmacy.  When I asked the pharmacy, I was told that they had been requested but not sent by the surgery.  After speaking to the surgery I was told that those two items were no longer on my repeat prescriptions.  I was told I would need a prescription review. Earliest date would be the 22 September.  That is utterly ridiculous.  Surely someone from the surgery should have contacted me to tell me this after requesting the repeat prescriptions two weeks ago.    Also, apparently, there is no point sending an email regarding prescriptions as they are not actioned nor replied to as I have discovered.
    • Erm... guessing it's like any service... so you can receive/be part of something relevant to you in the area where you happen to reside. You don't have to sign up but you might miss out on an excellent Tesco offer or two. 🤷‍♀️
