edcam
Norwood Road Vets are the best and specialise in cats. Great people. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/38895-cat-vet-recommendations-please/#findComment-699978 Share on other sites
benonthehill
Lordship Lane Vets are great. Not cheap but they are very thorough. Not just cats though... CocoC
I've got my two with Lordship Lane vets. Have always managed to get them an early/ late/ weekend appointment at short notice if they've needed it, unlike the one time I tried the Neighbourhood Vets (which is a lot closer) who couldn't offer me anything until the early afternoon - fine if you don't work, not great if you do. MissWiggy
Another recommendation for the Neighbourhood Vet. They've always been great with my 2 cats and have been able to slot me in at the last minute for urgent concerns. On Wednesday I booked an appointment for tomorrow (Saturday) for a routine non-urgent appointment. misssunshine
I use the Neighbourhood Vets too. The vets do a great job but they are -like most vets- expensive. Non-prescription medicines or vet food from them are horribly priced (ex: Advocate for 6 months is around ?39, I found it online at ?23. I can understand a ?5 difference or so but ?16 is daylight robbery!). Prescription medicines are expensive but as they charge ?15 for a prescription (or did at the beginning of the year), it might work out cheaper to buy medicines from them. They always offer itemised bills. The reception area is lovely, bright and airy with separate areas for cats/dogs if needed as well as tea & coffee facilites. Reception staff is always helpful (phone or in person) and friendly, nurses are great. The place is immaculate. There is a bus stop not too far, car park for three cars (just for the clinic).I have never tried LL vets or any other vet in the area so it's hard for me to compare.Hope that helps nonetheless!
