Oh my goodness - that film scared the Bejesus out of me as a young teenager.

More recently, An American Haunting had me really creeped out - it was so scary without being particularly explicit.

There are terrifying moments in all Lynch Films(Apart from The Straight Story of course), but theres a scene in Wild at Heart where Nick Cage(Sailor) and Laura Dern pull over to inspect a car crash site in the middle of the night, only to find all dead but one woman who appears to have reverted to childhood and is wandering around aimlessly sticking her finger into the huge hole in the side of her head. Its truly heartbreaking and poignant....oh, and that bit Where Willem Dafoes sleazy character inadvertently blows his brain about 20 feet in the air.
Love horror films! That 'thing' from Salem's Lot gave me the shivers as did the scene in The Ring when the girl crawls out of the TV. Like Keef, the old man in Poltergeist 2 terrified me. The devil's face that flashed up briefly in The Exorcist and in Hostel when the guy gets his Achilles heels cut - that's not scary though, just disgusting.

    • Anyone can deliver for Evri - my daughter having just passed her driving test tried Evri to make some money - they basically give you a route and as many parcels as they think you can cope with - you make money for each one you deliver, so you can imagine - speed is the priority. Why would they wait for you to answer the door when they can just throw it and take a photo? If you have a choice, choose a different courier service or shop elsewhere where they do.
    • Boil - it’s the customer’s fault, not the delivery person’s.
    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
    • No I absolutely did not - that much is clear. Have you read the latest stories about Unite, Len and the hotel in Birmingham? The UK electorate were smart enough to reject a far-left party in 2019, let's hope they are smart enough to reject a far-right party at the next election too. If not we are all doomed.
