Well done you - you spotted a cyclist doing something stupid (and it is stupid to ride at night without lights)

The other day, I spotted a man in a van doing something stupid. He was driving his van, on his phone and nealry knocked me off my bike. Lets start a thread now "ban van drivers from the road"

In fact, we can start campaigns for both of these things. I love blaming the worlds woes on specific minority groups - its great

"dismissing someone's point because of bad spelling or grammar is poor."

I'd generally go along with that. On the other hand....

"All cyclist belong under a bus and they should all be mad to wear hi- vis targets on there back and a scoring system put in place and I can see the gramma nazi are out in force good times"

..there does appear to be some correlation between using no punctuation at all and being a complete tw%t.

Now we are onto the highest level of taking a 'rise'. This is when the game usually gets pretty polarised and nasty, however, on this occasion, I think a whole host of rather poor attempts have become so desperately predictable that we can see through them. Ah well guys, better luck next time.

Unless I'm badly mistaken dulwichbeekeeper is not being serious.

    • Thanks for offering. Just this morning I took some pounds to Albrighton then got back to find more on the ground so have gathered those too. Let me get back to you privately about possibly coming here in the next few days? Thanks.
    • TBF, the council has tackled graffiti on Walworth, Old and New Kent Roads - you can see that many businesses there have been cleaned up en masse - but Rye Lane hasn’t.
    • Hi, I am from the Southwark Day Centre and could collect some apples if I am. It too late... Bettina
    • Labour's latest Rye Lane Ward newsletter is now saying that demolition in the square will start this summer and that the wider station upgrade is expected to be signed off this year - as explained above, sadly wrong on both counts. It describes the renovation of adjacent buildings on Blenheim Grove as "successful", despite having lain empty for a couple of years, longer than the actual renovation works, before saying "the Council is hopeful [it] will see its first new occupants move in to this year". Cue desperate attempt to get at least one in before end of financial year? As for the other topic, in "November 2023, faced with a huge increase in graffiti across the borough, Labour-run Southwark council took action". Nice turn of phrase eh? Rather, after community pressure regarding years of inaction by said Labour-run council, it's finally started to do a little bit, a little late. Surely there would be more chance of resolving issues if our council could for once be part of an honest, informed discussion?
