Channel 4 are producing a new Metropolitan film series called Babylon (a pilot was shown earlier this year).

They were filming at Dawson heights today for new series to be shown later on this year.

Babylon

Police comedy drama, directed by Danny Boyle, written by Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong (Peep Show, Fresh Meat). The Met is in need of a public image revamp, so chief constable Richard Miller has hired American visionary Liz Garvey to revolutionise the force's PR department. In an age of rolling news, smartphones and an information-hungry population, Liz preaches transparency and honesty. But as an outbreak of violence erupts across London and internal backbiting begins, her mission faces its greatest test. Starring James Nesbitt, Brit Marling, Jill Halfpenny, Paterson Joseph, Bertie Carvel and Adam Deacon

Nope, not at the time of filming. MP5 carbine standard issue.

However, so much more wrong with that that pic

On set Police advisor obviously not firearms

Mr Nesbitt wouldn't have had to travel too far for that scene.......

With this and 'The Misssing' , I imagine he will have to make some more room on his mantlepiece

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
