Another word, eh?

On the phone, eh?

No stockings, eh?

Shouldn't you first be ascertaining whether he's been naughty or nice? Isn't there a checklist?

Bless you Simon, no of course they won't, that's for when there was a crucifixion going on and the grimness of the mentioned comestibles is appropriate. We've got Christmas coming when ugly birds are consumed with great gusto, alcoholic excess is the order of the day and the phrase 'f it wasn't for the kids I wouldn't bother' can be used freely without people making Gary Glitter references and I receive M&S vouchers.

To quote the soon to be retired Errol Brown of Hot Chocolate 'Everyone's A Winner Baby'

That's no lie.

It's good to know that I have so many friends on this forum. I love you all dearly, and Christmas cheer will be flowing merrily to you all from Moos Towers.

IN DECEMBER.

P.S. HonaloochieB, you are sweet. What on earth makes you think it would have taken me all this time to determine whether or not that scamp Mickey Plinkyplonkyguts is naughty or nice?

    • Would Leon install a new double oven? Our eye level double oven was installed when we had our kitchen installed around 20 years ago and will need to be replaced with similar. I think we had 2 people to install it then - so does Leon work alone?
    • My car was registered in 2004. Automatic, ULEZ compatible.  Used to use it daily for work until 2016 when retired. Still used 3-5 days weekly after that as was doing voluntary work. My mobility has gradually declined and  it is painful to walk.. Family live in Kent, Essex and Sussex - so need car to visit them. My car battery is 2 years old - when had to call out RAC to assist at home as it was dead, they found it was the original battery installed in 2004!! My car is essential - shopping each week, being able to go to garden centres, or DIY stores, taking the cat to the vet and  other social activities. I now only half fill with petrol every 3- 4 weeks, so save that way. I am careful  with my finances and would be lost without the car. It is regularly maintained (Turners).
    • I remember Tesco- it was on the corner of North Cross Road where Superdrug is now. Very small if I remember correctly.  We shop in Pound land - having discovered that shampoo and conditioner (brand names) were only £1 each. Good selection of most things that we need on a regular basis. It is better than the one in Peckham. Never noticed loud music when I have been in there and have always found the staff helpful and cheerful.
