What to do with keys when going for a run?

Had my first foray into the world of jogging and realised I had no idea what to do with my house keys. I need 4 keys to get in to my abode so it is relatively bulky. Any suggestions what to do with them? Thanks

I have an arm pouch which I use if I need to take a whole bunch of keys with me. Generally I take them off the key ring to reduce bulk. Jingling drives me mad, is I stick a tissue in with them.

If I'm running with my phone (which I also have an arm band for), I put two keys down behind the phone, and the others in my pocket (running tights, in a zipped pocket).

you can get running trousers hat have a small zip pocket across the back which is perfect for keeping your keys.

or use one of those sports armband things?

i have a thing you put round your waist that looks small but expands to take keys and a mobile if you need it. you get it from running shops. much smaller than a bum bag but similar idea.

Leave them in the lock. Saves time fumbling round trying to find them when you're out of breath.

I dangle them from my scrotum on a long rubber band - by way of a small hole in the gusset of my lycra runners. (Make the whole with a lit cigarette rather than cutting with scissors - this will stop the threads pulling and exposing your knackers.)

They attract dogs off the leash and emit a Christmassy sound. Win - Win.

I've always tied the keys (through the keyring or fob) into the laces of one of my trainers before tightening the knot.

Thanks for all the useful info, I'll try the ?2.99 Sports Direct option as I'm not sure how committed a runner I am going to be. Too many keys for the laces option, it will probably add another 10mins each way to the run.

As for the other 'info', it was as expected!

I use a large safety pin to then attach keys to the inside of my waistband, no annoying jangling, just a nice key indentation on your skin at the end of your run :-)

Attach to a hair tie and use to tie hair back (appreciate this may not work for everyone).
