ED is full of one dinemsional plastic football supporters and when Ingerland are playing, they swap the nylon of their adopted NW teams for the the red tat of England.Until They are cruelly disappointed. again. then they forget about it until the next big game/ finals are showing and their hearts beat with the blooded patriotism of the deluded & the bars echo with cries of Rooney or whoever the gutter press are lionisng in their latest jingoistic tirades.Everyone becomes an expert on the attacking potential of Belarus, despite never having heard of the Stalinist semi-rogue statelet in the cul de sac of their lives


ED is crap for watching Scotland on the whole, but you do see it sometimes when the mightly Ingerkand have an evening kick off and the pub sees a possible slot in the dead early afternoon , such as the EDT, and Scotland have a 3PM game, but dont bet on it.


The Hootenanny in Brixton ( ex Prince regent IIRC ) is a Scots pub that is probabably the best in SE LOndon when a game is on, but best avoided at other times.

If you ask them nicely they may try and show it. Provided its quiet. They have done that a few times for me. Or use the forum to round up some tartan army. I'd come and join you roygbiv but think I'll be up in the that day myself breathing fresh air and getting a decent Haggis supper for the first time in 6 months.


The EDT or The Hoot are your best bets.

There are a few of us domiciled in ED, will try the EDT on saturday with a few of the clan. Hoots gets packed and last time I was there they had very few staff on so we ended up havig to take a kerry oot in with us. You can take the Scots out of Scotland but...........

The population of Scotland has risen to its highest level since 1983, according to government statistics.


The figures showed that the population had risen to 5,144,200 by June 2007, an increase of 27,300 compared with the previous year.


The increase was mostly due to the highest levels of migration to Scotland from other parts of the UK and abroad since the 1950s.

Because you are an open minded individual who seeks the good in people wherever you are, and avoids crass generalisations, I predict you will love Edinburgh too. And its citizens will also respond warmly to your vocal enthusiasm for their Glaswegian siblings.

At this point I only have the crass generalisations of my Glaswegian friends to go on, unfortunately.

Bob, often times I have been told by a native of that City that they prefer even the English to their wannabe counterparts in the Athens of the North.


I put this down to nothing more than their love of the Glasgow banter, and respond in kind. It rarely fails to provoke a warm response.

The Hoot will be jumping but it would be nice to get served and avoid the trudge back home. if the EDT have it on I'll certainly be up for joining the cluster. It would be good to get enough folk to warrant someone locally showing our games on a regular basis. Argentina game on Nov. 19 is also on Sky. Anyway, see yoos on Saturday. I'll be dressed head to toe in apprehension.

Right lads (and lassies). The EDT ARE showing the Scotland game today. Or so they just told me. And as I'm not going back to the motherland until next weekend I'll be down there - will look out for you Help Ma Boab!


I think it will be a decent game - the Norwegians are alright. And I have stuck a tenner on Faddie to get one.

      I recently hired Andy to paint the newly plastered walls in my front room, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the start, he offered a fair and reasonable price for the work, and his professionalism really stood out. Andy has a wealth of experience and was happy to share suggestions about colour choices and paint types, which made the decision-making process much easier. He completed the work within the agreed timescale, and I am very happy with the finish.  What impressed me most is that Andy went above and beyond what I initially asked. He not only painted the room beautifully but also helped with extra tasks such as putting up the wall bracket, curtain poles, and curtains, and even gave me a hand moving furniture between rooms. That level of support is rare and very much appreciated. If you’re looking for a painter and decorator who is reliable, trustworthy, reasonably priced, experienced, and willing to go the extra mile to help, I would highly recommend Andy.

      John recently skimmed the walls in our front room lounge, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. From start to finish, he was professional, punctual, and easy to work with.   He arrived on time each day and kept me updated on progress, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. He takes real pride in his work.   John was also very tidy, laying down protective sheets and cleaning up thoroughly after the job was done.
