That's nothing Sean. I'm singing the Bonzos - You've Done My Brain In.

I have personally won over...

Weeeeeell

Lookin' like a muscle man

You crawled out from the swamp

Slimy, wild, you honey child

Give me your hump

You done my brain in

WHHAAHHH!

You done my brain in

Right in

And I just can't handle it

Wooo!

You done my brain in!

Hallelujah!

Don't kiss me with your silver lip

Don't kiss me with your eye

For God's sake, gimme a break

Let me crawl away and die

You done my brain in

WHHWHHAAAGGGHHHH!

You done my brain in

Right in

And I just can't handle it

WHHHHAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!

Brendan - you're right they didn't "sell out", I was being deliberately provocative... lots of people said they did, but I don't really agree... signing with Fat Mike and slowing your songs down does not equate to selling out. Now, Jawbreaker on the other hand...

I stand by my words regarding Splodgenessabounds though. Until someone argues with me, that is.

Next is not really relevant. I don't like their clothes much, but it's OK if you want cheap shirts for work or something. Or socks.

Sorry to be pedantic here Jah, but its 'phwooahhhhr'. http://neilinnes.org/chords/phwoahr.htm.

Still one of my favourites to bash out at 7 in the morning....

I guess it's something in my brain,

I need whiskey to ease the pain,

But it's early in the morning,

And I'm feeling bad again.

But if you ever loved me,

You'd go easy on me now,

Fix me up a cup of coffee

And in a while I'll come around.

I think I'll spend the dog food money,

But he'll love me just the same.

But if you really love me baby,

Help me scrape the mucus off my brain.

It's a shame when morning hurts,

I've seen bad and I've seen worse,

It's the nature of my being

I took some money from your purse.

Now a frenchman loves to party,

But I know he's not to blame,

But the way you're looking at me baby

I can't help but feel the shame.

I think I'll spend the dog food money,

But he'll love me just the same

But If you really love me baby

Help me scrape the mucus off my brain.

I remember seeing Viv Stanshall in a white suit, shirt, tie and impeccable white shoes dancing wildly with a young blonde who wasn't his wife and whoopin' with joy at a Screamin' Jay Hawkins gig at the Town & Country Club in Chalk Farm back in '89. That, and his wonderfully funny recorded output is how I like to remember him. Pure genius.

    • I’m currently conducting exploratory research into menstrual health education in UK secondary schools and would really value the insight of PSHE leads, Heads of Year, or pastoral staff.    The research aims to understand:   How the menstrual cycle is currently taught within the RSHE framework Where schools feel confident — and where there may be gaps Whether students are taught and  asking questions around the full menstrual cycle, symptoms, wellbeing and conditions such as PMS/PMDD or endometriosis How schools support students in feeling empowered to understand their bodies and seek help appropriately Whether education around nutrition, lifestyle, and menstrual wellbeing is currently addressed   The long-term goal is to explore whether there is a need for additional, age-appropriate, medically informed support on the menstrual cycle.  I’m not selling a programme and there is no obligation beyond a 30 minute informal chat online (Unpaid). All conversations will be confidential and used only to inform the research. If you work in a UK secondary school and would be willing to share your perspective, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you. Please comment below or email me [email protected] Thank you for the vital work you do. Best wishes, Emma
    • Nice topic and nice song!  1) Definitely top of Canonbie, looking North. 2) What used to be Francesca Cabrini school at the top of FHR. 3) Honor Oak playground, next to Camberwell New cemetery.
