Couldn't the brownie tasting be held in late september??

Have gestational diabetes which will resolve as soon as bubs is born and have said I'll have a choc brownie on the side as an incentive during labour!!

(having said that, the last 2 brownies I had before finding out about the GD were homemade and Leon - homemade win hands down - don't agree with choc and orange unless it's a jaffa cake!)

orange....no, no. Cinnamon Tree Bakery do gluten free brownies available from Borough Market. They are pretty good. But I still think Chocstar's are the best and am glad to see they came second. Believe the Dolce Vita lady is away for the summer.

When is your baby due Buggie?

Perhaps we could organise an East Dulwich chocolate brownie bake-off for the homebakers and make sure there are plenty left over for you to taste :)

I'm sure there are plenty people in ED baking up some terrific brownies....

I've tried lots of the Borough brownies but have to say Leon remains the winner according to my tastebuds. They don't taste at all orangey - I only realised they had orange oil in them because I checked out their recipe. The orange is a very subtle presence which appears to intensify the rich dark chocolateyness ;-)
