As Christmas is coming up, I thought it would be great to start a thread with Christmas Gift ideas as I'm always struggling to think of new things to buy the hubby.

I just came back from the best cooking course I've ever been on and belive me there have been a few. I did the bread making course at The Bertinet Kitchen's in Bath.

Highly recommended.

Sorry, sop1. As you probably know, genuine altos (ie not sopranos who are just too lazy to train to a proper range) are almost as rare as tenors. Sops are two a penny.

I have to admit to being surprised, from your speaking voice I would have had you by alto. I used to be a properly trained tenor, but have definitely let it slip and lost a semitone or 2 off of my top end!

I know, funny innit. But can hit high C on a good day, and in fact the lower end of my range is the weak one.

Don't know what it's done to deserve being hit though!
