cle
If anything, after this thread I'd probably laugh if I saw these poor slatterns. Can't imagine a vigilante mob myself. *Bob*
Our bin is placed quite close to the front wall. It would be quite possible for a passing hobo to reach over and bin-dip without placing a foot on the notable front path or trespass on the property as such. Where do we stand on the legality of this? Before we break out the blunderbuss and pepper them both? Otta
I was thinking about this thread earlier when I put some rubbish in someone's wheelybin that was on the pavement. I have on occasion put something in a wheely bin that is in someone's garden but close to the wall so within easy arms reach. I do feel a bit cheeky, but I wonder if anyone would ever tell someone off for doing this? Jeremy
That depends Otta. Were you carrying the item in question in a trolley or a bag? Mind your eminent roses, though. marymac
I,d guess that these women looking through other people's bins are 'in need'? I watched 2 women go through all the bins in our street early one Sunday morning and they were taking clothes out mainly. My daughter asked me what I was looking at and I explained that these women were looking through all the bins, I said I didn't know who they were or what they were looking for. I did say there is a world out there where there are people struggling... And how very lucky we were to live in such a plentiful place where we have so much that our bins are over flowing. Poor you that don't like people recycling your rubbish. they were very tidy be the way, they put everything back in they didn't want. Jacqui5254
marymac...such a refreshing view of the situation in comparison to the...."my child would not feel safe watching strangers loitering outside", "in front of my windows where my child lives" hysteria. snooks
Yes we've had the very same thing on the Lordship Lane Estate, when confronted they said they were looking for something they'd lost. Emete
I saw the very same thing and I watched them like a hawk until they noticed I was watching and went rushing round the corner. I noticed they had torn my rubbish bag with general waste. I think there are looking for metal and copper as this is where the money is, hence the trolly's to carry the load. I haven't seen them since and am always checking to see if my bin bags are torn. If I did see them in my front garden again, I won't be pleasant that's for sure.
