I cannot recommend this enough. Theres a Movie Player at the bottom of the page which allows you to stream the film for free. I'm not really a conspiracy nut but there are a lot of very interesting observations made within this film and definitely some substantial food for thought.

Conspiracy theorists have a desperate problem with causality. Just because politicians regularly twist political capital from incidents to their own ends, doesn't necessarily mean they staged them.

Even the infamous Gulf of Tonkin incident wasn't actually staged; nothing happened granted, some nervous navy gunners shot at some fog, and that was leveraged and lied about in order to persuade congress to sign a blank cheque to fund the war, but it wasn't staged.

Pearl Harbour and the Lusitania likewise, though you'd be hard pressed NOT to have gone to war after Pearl Harbour frankly.

Anyway, internet idiocy. A slick presentation and some good juxtaposed images does not a convincing argument make.

I agree with the causality issues and I've always thought it the supreme human achievement that a shadowy coven of miscreants could so thoroughly control humankind and its destiny given the near infinite variables it would have to master to achieve this end. However the opening half hour and its comparisons betweeen the Egyptian legend of Horus and that of Christ were remarkable(although I accept that this is not a particularly recent revelation(scuse the pun)). I found it fascinating and refreshingly free of the hyperbole(stand up Michael Moore) that usually surrounds this kind of documentary. I still its well worth a watch....oh, and its free.

Reminded me of the Ipcress Files.

That bloke for the first 5 minutes is interminable. I was so exasperated I wanted to cook up an elaborate plot to go to war with him.

Bad news eh Tillie - it suggest he's another one of the 'believers' who doesn't realise they're swapping one religion for another ;-)

Keeflet is an excellent shout. Keef will no doubt hate it for the same reason I hate my wife calling me cute when I'm confused.

I wouldn't watch it Tillie because it's so dull you'll start experimenting on your cornea with a fork. It felt like someone saying 'mung' to me a thousand times.

Poisoning young lady's minds about boys requires no such motivation. This craven pursuit is the sport of kings.

    • This week's edition of The Briefing Room I found really useful and impressively informative on the training aspect.  David Aaronovitch has come a long way since his University Challenge day. 😉  It's available to hear online or download as mp3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002n7wv In a few days time resident doctors -who used to be known as junior doctors - were meant to be going on strike. This would be the 14th strike by the doctors’ union since March 2023. The ostensible reason was pay but now the dispute may be over without more increases to salary levels. The Government has instead made an offer to do something about the other big issue for early career doctors - working conditions and specialist training places. David Aaronovitch and guests discuss what's going on and ask what the problem is with the way we in Britain train our doctors? Guests: Hugh Pym, BBC Health Editor Sir Andrew Goddard, Consultant Gastroenterologist Professor Martin McKee, Professor of European Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Mark Dayan, Policy Analyst, Nuffield Trust. Presenter: David Aaronovitch Producers: Caroline Bayley, Kirsteen Knight, Cordelia Hemming Production Co-ordinator: Maria Ogundele Sound Engineers: Michael Regaard, Gareth Jones Editor: Richard Vadon
    • That was one that the BBC seem to have lost track of.  But they do still have quite a few. These are some in their 60s archive. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0028zp6
