Ladysaw
Pepper spray is illegal?!!?!?WHAT!never knew that. Surely not as illegal as being robbed at knife point. Ladysaw
Huggers. I hope your son recovers from that experience. Sorry to read such awful news of crimes happening on the road I live on. Huggers
pepper spray may be illegal, but a large pot of black ground pepper left forgotten in your bag after a long ago trip to tescoes isn't.thanks Ladysaw and everyone, my son is remarkably stoic about the whole thing, like a gazelle given a fright at the watering hole by a jackal, shaken but keen to rejoin the herd. Otta
This was years ago so not sure what the law says now, but remember a police officer telling my school that itnis a crime to carry any weapon, and (this is the bit that stuck with me) if an old lady carried sone salt or pepper in her bag just in case, she could in theory be prosecuted.I suspect they wouldn't actually prosecute, but it's interesting. Jeremy
Otta Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> if an old lady carried some salt or pepper in her bag Is this some kind of typo? Otta
I'm saying what the police guy said. I'm not sure I'd take my chances armed only with a salt cellar, but there you go.
