Can you use an Oyster Card for two people?

Have a visitor coming and it seems pretty pointless getting another card for one or two journeys we might make.

You can't use an oyster for two at the same time (i.e. tapping in twice on the same bus) - it won't let you.

But the deposit on a card is refundable so just get one (?5), put ?10 on it, spend that and then hand the card back.

Or you can use any contactless card and get the Oyster price. I don't think you can get capping, though.

Contactless is better than Oyster as you benefit from capping on the buses. Odd but true.

Capping is on oyster on buses aswell I use it, no you need 2 cards.

Or let them pay or you via contact less card.
