El Pibe
I bet it was higher up a few short years ago.I'm actually surprised my eldest's isn't higher given a certain sporting success. Pickle
I have a number 3, a 73 and one not on the list which surprises me (Kate - there's Katie, but not Kate). My Mum likes to joke that these days to name a baby you look at a list of recently deceased people in their 80's and older, and pick at random. She's not too far off if I think of names I hear these days, especially boys. david_carnell
Maybe - it's archeypal but not sure it's been in fashion for some time.Although I did bump into another wee Hamish in a Penge garden centre some months ago. Was a very odd experience. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/47975-the-top-100-baby-names-2013/#findComment-774062 Share on other sites
Pickle
David, our son was very nearly Hamish, it was one of the two names we had picked out. Pickle
We notice when we visit family in NZ that the fashion for boys is to use surnames as first names. One of my friends has Hunter, Cooper and Fletcher. Otta
My younger daughter has Hannah (44) as a middle name, but neither daughter on the list. Thought a variation on my older girl's name might be there, but nadda.
