Still wading through the full details, but found this snipped on a Govia release (they're taking up the Southern franchise, joined up with Thameslink and the Great Northern routes). They take over the Southern franchise in July 2015.

http://www.govia.info/gtr/route-fact-sheets/ (fact sheet 4 is the relevent one)

- Ticket gatelines to be introduced at East Dulwich (date vague - any time between now and the start of 2017).

- Free WiFi to be introduced at East Dulwich (if it's one of the 104 busiest stations in the franchise) during 2015

I can't spot anything on the list of service changes explicitly referencing any impact on ED directly, but there is a reference to Wimbledon to London Bridge services via Peckham Rye, which would presumably also be via East Dulwich.

That's covered in fact sheet 9, here: http://assets.goaheadbus.com/media/cms_page_media/1273/Factsheet%209%20-%20Kent%20Thameslink%20services.pdf

^ Completely agree. The whole of the station will need a complete re-think if they're going to put in barriers. I'm guessing it's probably too late now to take back the rest of the old station building that used to be the garden centre, what with the new development? Unless of course that's part of the plan and I've just missed it...

    • Ah sorry, it was comedy.
    • I have never used AI in my life. It's just notes from my forthcoming monograph on light industry in Dulwich and Camberwell 1879-1946 (dates chosen for obvious reasons).
    • Thank you, this really made me chuckle. It's like you met my brother as he would be the one taking more than his share. Plus the 'pikey' chutney is a winner. Unusual as in can't be identified??? Sadly I'm not the host otherwise I would definitely do that I regularly shop in the Cheese Block and am a fan. But as people have pointed out, there is no cheese shop that charges less based on bulk, so Aldi unusual cheeses may be what the familam receive! Yay, so I can get discounted mouse nibbled cheese still! Oooo, now I do love a Stinking Bishop. It actually offends my stepmum by it's stinkiness but luckily she is not one of the attendees at this particular gathering.  This is blooming genius. It's actually my partner who has the biggest issue with buying in plastic so I will have to hide the wrappers from him!
