In fact, it's a walk in the park, compared to being embroiled in a disastrous and terminal relationship.Oh I agree, it's just Valentine's day I tend to forget that - you only get the idealized images on Valentine's day after all. Mostly if I feel glum about being single I can drum up memories of the last ex and remind myself how much I like my freedom - the ex was a bit of a bully at times, liked to put me down and tell me what I could and couldn't do. But I still retain some (perhaps naive) romantic notions that being in a good relationship must be better than being single though. summerjt
I shan't get the January blues. I've got the gym bug (again) after getting a day pass yesterday to my cousin's fancy gym in Muswell Hill. Dulwich leisure centre hasn't got quite the same facilities, but it's got a pool and a gym... I wonder how long my resolution will last...Wish I had time to do an evening course or something, but don't right now. Good luck to those people who are starting new courses and new ventures in 2009.I agree with some posters about February being a more depressing month, particularly with Valentines Day. Hope I get more cards this year than I did last year -I got no cards last year :( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/4827-who-is-going-to-get-the-january-blues/page/2/#findComment-155829 Share on other sites
